Q&A Session Jan. 20 for Deck the Walls Contest

Memphis Business Interiors is sponsoring a design competition at the University of Memphis FedEx Institute of Technology. To enter the competition, individuals or teams from the University of Memphis will develop a new design for the walls of the Institute's Digital Living Room. The Digital Living Room is used for meetings, conferences and teleconferences.

The Institute will hold a question and answer session for students interested in entering the competition Thursday, January 20, 3 to 5 p.m. in the digital living room. Entries must be submitted Thursday, February 24, before 4 p.m. to Marcy Sanford at the FedEx Institute of Technology, 303. All full and part-time undergraduate students enrolled at the U of M are eligible to enter the competition. Entry forms and a complete list of rules can be found at fedex.memphis.edu.

In mid January, one-of-a-kind Elvis carpet tiles will be installed in the room. Design entries should convey the impact music has had on Memphis and the impact Memphis music has had on the world. The first prize winner will receive $500, 2nd prize $300 and 3rd prize $100.
