Work Will Temporarily Close Business Buildings, Deloach Street Garage
For release: Nov. 22, 2002
For press information, contact Gabrielle Maxey

Replacement of the switchgear at the FedEx Technology Institute construction site at The University of Memphis is scheduled to begin after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27. As a result, there will no power in the Fogelman College of Business and Economics buildings, the Fogelman Executive Center building, or the Deloach Parking Garage. Power is scheduled to be restored Sunday, Dec. 1.

Due to the work, and for safety concerns, all access to the Deloach Garage will be closed during this time. The wire doors at the entrance/exit of the garage will be lowered, and cars that are parked in the garage when the power is shut off will not be able to exit until the power is restored.

The U of M will be observing its Thanksgiving holidays Nov. 28-Dec. 1, so classes and University business will not be disrupted.
